Office Space is one of the funniest movies I have seen in recent times. This is a movie which everyone might not like, but people who work in software industry will love it. Every time you watch this movie you will find it funnier than last time (at least for first few times).
It’s a movie about software Engineer Peter, his friends and how they hate their work. Story revolves around how frustrated employees are, how much they hate fixing bugs, how their managers ask them to work on weekends and all possible things that can happen in SEs life. The company is about to undergo downsizing and how is everyone trying to define what is there role in company. One day Peter goes to an occupational hypnotherapist and while he is hypnotized the doctor dies of heart attack, Peter is now in relaxed mood for always. Life is completely changed for him now, he is so relaxed, he does not care for work, and he never comes to office on weekends. Finally he gets a promotion and his hard working friends are downsized. They try to take revenge and plant a virus and story goes on (won’t spoil everything by finishing story).
I am sure every one of us will find a lot of parallel with our lives and work.
