How I got online again

After writing a lot of complaint mails and blogging about it, when nothing happened I finally threatened to sue Reliance for harassment and denial of service the wheels were set in motion. Next day I get a call from senior official apologizing, he also promised that problem will be fixed as early as possible. He ordered the teams to fix the issue in front of me.

In half an hour I get a call asking for direction to my place, after 10 mins I get another call for directions. I thought it’s the same person and gave him directions too, but it was another team. So, I had two teams at my place trying to solve the problem (one team left in some time), they changed direction of antenna, location, cable, firmware (and a lot of things) and still could not solve the problem. After 3 hours they said, we can’t fix it as this seems to be a ‘data transfer’ problem and ‘data team’ will take care of this. I told them, contact data team, get them here and get my problem fixed or you guys take the antenna/modem back I don’t want your services. These guys were not ready to take it back and I threatened to sue again.

Around 5PM I get call from senior tech staff to have a conference call with me and tried to solve the issue, but when nothing worked for another hour two people from technical department came to my place. They tried for another two hours along with a team in Mumbai and couldn’t fix it. After this these guys confessed that they cannot solve the problem now and will take around 24 hours to solve the problem and promised that definitely by Sunday evening I will have proper internet. I was satisfied to see them trying (and desperate) to solve the problem and for the first time believed that they would be able to solve the issue. By the time they left it was 8:30 and I got time to celebrate the Perth victory.

By Sunday afternoon the issue was resolved, I was wondering if I would not have written that mail when I would have got my connection back.
