That post was just after the Ahemdabad blasts, my mental condition was ‘Helplessness’, I was eager to do something but still I could not do anything. This time I was in the same state of mind, but that time I was addressing general public, this time it was meant for educated media people who were making mistakes. These are the people we expect least mistakes from.

Adding to same topic, my views have not changed but I see some small light at the end of tunnel, maybe because I feel the impact of Obama’s victory (which is credited someway to technology)and the way Indian bloggers/twitter users have reacted to it. At least now people want to vote and are believing in themselves. I do not think a single post will make the difference but awareness amongst the educated always helps. Would surly love to discuss it in detail with you.

Social responsibility and moral values are the least to be asked from a person/organization in the present day society.

But, stooping to such low levels by the India TV media – should be uncalled for. I read somewhere yesterday that Supreme Court ordered a temporary ban on broadcasting of all news channels in Mumbai as their reports tend to frighten the people.

I would like to if there is any change in thoughts from you since Impact of Blogging that made you write this.

These media just want to increase their TRPs even at the cost of commandos lives.. covering live inspite of getting instructions was one of the most irresponsible thing done by media. They are not ready to accept how critical the issue is..

There is a need of strict regulations to control media in such crisis. If all news channels had delayed of broadcasting by 30 mins, that would have controlled information leakage to terrorists. Atleast, this could have been easily done.

agree with what you have said..

while the attacks by themselves are shocking, the callous reaction of the India TV channels has been depressing beyond imagination.. cant understand if they even realise the levels they are stooping down to

time for the media to actually introspect, else they will lose what little credibility they have..

Perfectly matches with my thoughts for the past 2-3 days… All the issues. I actually want to act on it but don’t know how. I have written to news papers many times through emails, but nothing ever happened so I’m wondering how can we reduce this thing if not end.

I might as well go ahead and accuse CNN-IBN of aiding the terror-mongers. Its 5:00 PM in India and CNN_IBN has George Koshy reporting LIVE on the grenade launch by the NSG at the Taj in such details and focussing their camera images at the target and the NSG launcher that such information can be of help to no one except the terrorists and possibly harmful to the security or the public.

if terrorist inside taj are killing with guns these terrorists(reporters) from news channels are killing with their cameras and insensitive activities…
they seems to care very much abt sensationalising news and TRP and revenue of the channels..

how terrorists are created…when you could make a person insensitive and uncaring to his neighbour you have created a terrorist.. are these insensitive reporters not terrorists???
