Regarding #3 the Taskbar, not all icons can be pinned to it such as my computer - My network places etc, very frustrating as the only way to do it now is create toolbars, just as with vista, microsoft is still focusing on the wow factor an continuously ditching usability out the window.

#regarding Networking, its great if it works straight away, just wait till something goes wrong and try troubleshooting it, its insane! at the moment its telling me I have 2 different networks (I only have one nic) and no net access on the win 7 machine - yet it obtained dhcp no trouble and all correct settings fr0om router. And the other frusrtating thing is to have to go all the way into networkshare folder just to see the properties of the adapter, xp was a simple right click on the network adapter icon near the clock and clicking status. why make us beat around the bush to do the simplest tasks.

Vista and windows 7 may great for the home user who's on unemployment and got nothing better to do then play with a pretty operating system, but if your thinking of using either for your work network it would be very inefficient as it neither is simple and easy to use as xp.

Don't get me wrong, if they just kept it user friendly (as they have proven that they can make a user friendly OS - XP) I would love windows 7, it looks great, but looking great does not equate to productivity.

overall, my experience wasn't good enough. Delayed load times, frequent white screens and an ultimate crash.

Good simple review. Was glad it didn't say something like Windows is crap and MACs are the future (wasn't expecting that but you never really know these days). I'd have to disagree on one thing though. Installation time took so much longer for me than when I installed Vista... don't know why, but it did. Also, I'm having a major problem related to software installation. I'm trying to install software that requires a restart mid install but whenever the computer boots back up it starts the install completely over. Never had this problem in XP or Vista... could just be a compatability issue which is why I changed the compatability mode to Vista but same result... can you say glitch? Maybe. Anyway, thanks for the review!

I even noticed that the 3D Window grouping is now removed as a Standard Feature from Vienna Ultimate oops.. Windows 7 :). When talking about hacking it, the first hacking any hacker would like to do is to Activate using improper ways.. So I think to unlock this we need to find a different approach as Vista Ultimate crack was not able to Crack Vienna Ultimate.

I agree with you Veetrag. This system has been developed with keeping Touchscreen users and mouse gestures in mind, I tried this with my touchscreen laptop and normal laptop and it was impressive to use. The password Hint issue is actually a requirement since Vista SP1 integrated ISO was released by Microsoft.

Installation asks Serial Key at end, which is good to have thing as users are not prompted during setup and hence result a procedure similar to "Sysprep".

Theming feature and grouping of Similar Windows is redesigned which is a fresh feel where as Non-Linux users will find it difficult to locate "Show Desktop" :). When I fund it I thought it will slide away the taskbar but unfortunately it was show desktop button.

So Windows 7 or Vista 2.0 is good to have for fresh feel, I wonder if they release SQL Based filesystem which they have been developing from a long time.
