A recent article on India from China International Institute for Strategic Studies is very disturbing. This article states – If China takes a little action, the so-called Great Indian Federation can be broken up. This article is has been widely distributed to domestic audiences and can be accessed here (Google Translation of Chinese article). It starts with the problem and states is as

In fact India is a very decadent doctrine reactionary, mainly set caste system. To achieve the modernization of the South Asian region need to get rid of the caste system, then the Indian government on this issue will be a dilemma: the theory and the Indian caste creed seamless, it is difficult to separate and completely get rid of the caste system in India will shake the foundation of national awareness of the existence of.

I agree with above statement, we know this is the current situation. At many levels caste system is dragging our country, we are not able to move forward at desired pace many times. But the solution provided by that research paper is

China in its own interest and the progress of Asia, should join forces with different nationalities like the Assamese, Tamils, and Kashmiris and support the latter in establishing independent nation-States of their own, out of India. In particular, the ULFA (United Liberation Front of Asom) in Assam, a territory neighboring China, can be helped by China so that Assam realises its national independence. (source : Rediff)

Doesn’t it sound familiar. It happened in 1600s when East India Trade Company found a land of spices, gold and precious metals/gems that can be of use. They moved here, built different posts and when they could not overthrow powerful states, they made them fight against each other, thus weakening them and eventually overthrowing the emperor.

I see the same agenda now being developed by China. They want to split us into many parts, so they the development we had in fields of IT, exports and other fields can be curbed. Currently China dominates in manufacturing but still lacks behind many sectors where South Asia is developing. While we engage in fight against each other, they take the market share in other sectors too.  And the biggest player in South Asia is India, by taking them out they plan to rule the Asia. And to justify this, they accuse India of trying to form “great Indian Federation extending from Afghanistan to Myanmar”.

They predict “Ultimately, India will be split into twenty or thirty of the nation state, the formation of such a pattern as in Europe”. But they have to see how Europe is acting now. They have improved on a lot of areas after forming European Union and convergence of currency and removing trade restrictions. They found the best way to compete is join hands and compete. It is like a big country with many independent states (not exactly).

Scary part about this strategy is, they have provided these sort of reports to military and other outfits. Once this idea develops, India will have to struggle from terrorists organizations not just developing from Pakistan but China too. China should learn something, why don’t you just develop your own strengths rather than trying to break other country. India is not a public limited country, where we can spin-off some bad divisions. For a country, growth is our main aim but human/cultural/social emotions take a very high priority too. We have taken advantage of our diversity, not to full extent but in few years we will come up with system to harness it better. Breaking up in not the solution we prefer, we like our trains to run on time but not because of someone else’s policies.

I think they stole the idea from Mogambo. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iWS40XEePEE
  • George Fernandes convinced me long time back. Lets see how our center govt handles Assam issue. Many more things will happen depending upon how we handle Assam issue.

China though is number one when it comes to manufacturing industry, but has not been able to capture the agro-based and services industry which is very essential for the Chinese to become south-asia's no.1 power . And India is the biggest competitor, so China is trying all round to break India's growth rate. Not only are they trying to extend their international border towards India but they are helping Pakistan strategically to strengthen arms inventory. I think its high time for Indian government to unveil China's evil intentions to the world.
