I agree with Veetrag, It's kind of Apple's move towards tablet pc segment + netbook segment. I wonder what would this device be when it had a camera, 16:9 support , multitasking, SD card slot, HDMI or high-res video output support, USB ports, GPS, and so on. Why no camera? Why no USB/Firewire ports? Maybe because of the fantastic master of Apple, the iPad is all about consumption.

It focused on a piece of technology aimed at encouraging more people to television, movies, books, music consumption, etc. It is not about making content. It is about consumerism or market share.

As an e-reader it will be a big hit.To quote BGR,”we spend all day reading blogs and news on the Internet without too many complaints, especially with LED-backlit displays which the iPad makes use of” – I don't see reading be a big issue with iPad too.

Kindle (or Sony for that matter) interface is dull.I mean DULL.Its depressive as dull. (Personal opinion.But still)

But I will buy one, when they had multitasking and video chat.And Flash should die.Will be a good riddance to humanity.
